Transforming an existing 1950’s era Camp Pendleton Area into a fully operational, high tech facility suitable for Truck Company Operations involved a range of new construction, site and renovation work. The facilities include a 10,000 SF multi-story headquarters facility, 5,000 SF warehouse with roll-up doors, 9,300 SF single-story armory, single marine facility, 10,000 SF dispatch facility and 22,000 SF dining facility with a commercial quality kitchen. An existing 26,000 SF structure was renovated for the vehicle maintenance building. Concrete masonry with seismic reinforcement, concrete pilings, spread beam foundations, and standing seam metal roofs were used to enhance durability, flexibility and sustainability for this LEED Gold project. Vehicular circulation, pedestrian circulation and landscape were improved throughout the area. All areas are now in compliance with ADA regulations.
