San Diego USD – John Muir Language Academy, Whole Site Modernization

The John Muir Language Academy project consisted of a whole site modernization of all existing permanent buildings, a new classroom building, new PE locker building, new student services building, expansion of the kindergarten building, and expansion of the kitchen building. The project was completed in three phases. Phase one included construction of the new 30,000 SF two-story classroom and physical education locker building. Phase two included the construction of a new 5,400 SF administration building, 1,340 SF kindergarten classroom expansion, 1,200 SF kitchen expansion, modernization of the existing permanent buildings, and associated site work including reconfiguration of the existing parking and drop-off area. Finally, phase three included removing portable buildings and completing the associated site work including a new staff parking lot.
