Ionis Pharmaceuticals – C1 Vivarium Expansion Project Phase I & II

Ionis Pharmaceuticals is a biotechnology company that specializes in discovering and developing RNA-targeted therapeutics. The Ionis C Wing Vivarium project involved the demolition of 6,181 SF of the building’s existing 1st floor to make upgrades for a brand new Vivarium. The new vivarium includes a new man lift elevator extending from the first floor to the second, a laboratory, cage wash system, offices and storage space. The second phase consisted of the complete demolition of an existing vivarium on the second floor to create a new 2,947 SF clean room laboratory space with all new structural, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems. Three procedure rooms and two holding rooms, with epoxy floors and wall systems, were constructed.
