The C.W. Driver Scholarship

1. Enrollment or plan to enroll in an accredited, post-secondary school in a course of study that leads to a four-year undergraduate degree in the areas of construction management and related construction disciplines, including but not limited to civil and other related engineering and construction trade disciplines.
2. Unweighted grade point average of 2.5 or better at your current school or the last school you attended.
3. Current California resident with plans to attend or is currently attending an accredited California college or university in 2024-2025

6. Recent academic transcripts
7. Letter of recommendation from one of your instructors, guidance counselors, employers, supervisors, coaches, or volunteer supervisors
8. If awarded the C.W. Driver Foundation scholarship, you agree to meet with C.W. Driver leadership to report how this scholarship has helped you realize your educational goals.

The C.W. Driver Scholarship was established by C.W. Driver Foundation (CWDF), Inc., a California non-profit corporation.  The purpose of this corporation is to foster education in the areas of construction management and related construction disciplines, including but not limited to civil and other related engineering and construction trade disciplines, by awarding scholarships and other forms of funding for education and training of individuals who plan to enter careers in these fields.

Who is eligible to apply for a CWDF Scholarship?

• Individuals who are a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or DACA student as of January 1, 2024.
• Excludes current or former employees of C.W. Driver or its affiliated companies, advisors, or vendors or any of their family members. Students from all underrepresented groups and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

What are the requirements to be considered for a CWDF Scholarship?

• Enrolled (or plan to enroll) in an accredited California college or university.
• Course of study that leads to a certificate or a four-year degree.
• 2.5 unweighted grade point average.

What will the scholarship cover?

• Scholarships will be awarded for full-time or part-time enrollment in amounts not to exceed $60,000 over a six-year period for each recipient, renewable for the duration of study, provided the student maintains at least a 2.5 unweighted grade point average (G.P.A.) and minimum course load consistent with the initial grant.  Scholarships provided will be for tuition, fees, books, and supplies and will be paid directly to the educational institution.

How do I apply for a CWDF Scholarship?

Application forms can be obtained from The C.W. Driver Foundation at 212 Arroyo Terrace, Pasadena, CA 91103.  In addition to the completed application form, the following forms are required:

• Personal Essay
• Academic Transcript(s) Request form
• Confidential Letter of Recommendation (1)

What is the selection process for the CWDF Scholarship?

• As required by federal rules, CWDF scholarship recipients will be chosen by an Independent Selection Committee that does not include employees of C.W. Driver or its Affiliates, current or former C.W. Driver employees, advisors, or vendors or any of their family members.  Scholarships will be awarded based on a combination of factors including academic achievement, community involvement and other contributions.
• Scholarships will be granted without regard to race, color, ethnic origin, gender, sexual orientation, veteran or marital status, religion, or disability.
