Cal Poly Pomona – College of Business Administration Complex

Located at the heart of the Cal Poly Pomona campus, the 75,000 SF College of Business Administration complex is comprised of a one-story and a two-story CMU classroom buildings, a three-story steel frame faculty office building, and a food services facility. The classic modern design which features a grand canopy located at the main entry point makes this complex a campus icon. The classrooms and auditoriums are wired to offer the latest technical advancements in teaching and research. 3D Building Information Modeling (BIM) was used by both C.W. Driver and the architect to confirm right of ways, therefore resolving any inconsistencies prior to actual construction. Additionally, the project was $8M dollars over budget based on the schematic estimate and through two months of extensive value engineering, scope reductions, and strategizing the team was able to keep the project intact. The project has been designed to meet LEED Silver certification requirements.
