City of Palmdale – Aquatics Park & Recreation Complex

In order to provide high quality amenities to the City’s residents, encourage future growth and add a revenue source, the City of Palmdale developed 100-acres of open space for two city parks located in the east and west sections of Palmdale. The west park, Marie Kerr Park, consists of a new softball complex with seven softball fields, a community center, amphitheater with seating venue, pool, community building and adjacent parking lot. The east park includes a themed aquatic center with lazy river, community center and recreational area. The east side recreation complex consists of a community center, aquatic park with lazy river, zero depth play feature, pool and waterslide, soccer fields, basketball courts and adjacent parking lots. Relocation of existing power lines and off-site road improvements surrounding the complex were included in the project scope.
