The Westminster Rose Center is a masterfully crafted, simple, yet sophisticated building. The 33,840 SF building consists of a 419-seat theater and banquet hall can accommodate a variety of cultural and civic functions. Because it is located in close proximity to occupied buildings, the team dealt proactively with safety and logistical concerns while maintaining an aggressive fast-track construction schedule. Because there was no contingency budget, C.W. Driver initiated and led the value engineering effort which resulted in a final cost saving of approximately $350,000. C.W. Driver also led the document coordination effort and successfully integrated a radiant heating/cooling ceiling panel system (emerging technology) with the theatrical tension grid, fire sprinkler, traditional HVAC and theatrical lighting and sound systems.
