Exposition Park Intergenerational Community Center – Seismic Renovation & Addition

The Exposition Park Intergenerational Community Center, EPICC, is a state-of-the-art recreation complex and the premier swim training facility for Los Angeles youth. The 7.9 acre EPICC site incorporates the historic 1932 Olympic Swim Stadium. Renovations to the original pool involved new mechanical and electrical systems. Additions to the complex included a new family pool, an 11,200 SF childcare center and an amphitheater. The previously “red tagged” historic, Spanish Colonial Exposition Clubhouse was transformed into a two-story, 9,040 SF senior center. A new three-story, 69,000 SF community center building was build adjacent to the swim stadium.
