HomeAid OC – Family Care Center Tenant Improvement

The Family Care Center is an emergency shelter that is a gateway for families to get off the streets and connect to other resources with the hope of stabilizing their precarious situation. The project included a renovation to an existing commercial building to deliver The Family Care Center, a facility that provides 56 beds for emergency, temporary housing for homeless families. Families have semi-private sleeping quarters, lockable storage for their belongings, and access to showers, restrooms, laundry facilities, computer lab, and a children’s play area. The facility also has a large kitchen and dining area where volunteers provide healthy meals to the families. The project team is proud to have donated time and materials to this critical project. In addition, we coordinated many donations from our subcontractors resulting in tens of thousands in donations and hundreds of volunteer hours.
