Irvine USD – Deerfield Elementary School, New Construction and Modernization

The new construction and modernization project included a new 4,200 SF music classroom building as well as a 1,000 SF expansion and modernization to the food service building. The new 4,160 SF classroom building included two 1,450 SF music classrooms with attached classroom and instrument storage, utility support spaces, and separate gender-neutral staff and student restrooms. A moveable acoustical partition wall separated the two classrooms and allowed for flexibility in space utilization. The food service expansion and modernization included an interior serving space addition and the reconfiguration and upgrades to the kitchen. This work, coupled with over 400 SF of building addition, more than doubled the original food service area. This project also featured 450 SF of covered walkways.
