The 25,000 SF Irvine High School Performing Arts Complex project consisted of ground-up construction for a single-story, state-of-the-art facility. Phase one included the demolition of existing structures, site utility relocations, grading, and deep soil mixing columns/ground improvements. Phase two involved building construction, site paving, concrete flatwork, utility systems, and landscape planting/irrigation.
The steel and metal frame diaphragm building featured a combination of metal panels, plaster, and a curtain wall system as exterior finishes. The interior included a 650-seat main theater space with a full production stage that incorporated state-of-the-art sound, lighting, and rigging systems. The Performing Arts Complex (PAC) also featured a Black Box theater, Scene Shop, Dressing Rooms, and lobby space.
