Long Beach USD – Cabrillo High School Aquatic Facility

The new aquatic facility at Cabrillo High School features an outdoor, fully compliant competition pool with 20-feet of perimeter decking on each side. The swimming pool accommodates an expanded physical education program and provides a venue for competitive swimming and water polo. The pool also provides a shallow area for swim instruction, aquatic exercise and physical therapy. A 10-foot perimeter wall and decorative fencing enclose the facility, which also includes boys/girls showers/locker rooms, team showers/locker rooms, restrooms, office spaces, ticket/concession stand, deck storage and shaded viewing bleachers with approximately 275-person capacity. Site issues addressed include improving existing site circulation, parking, and access for both students and the public. The high school and all programs at the site remained open and in use during construction.
