North Orange County CCD – Cypress College, Humanities Building

The renovation of the Cypress College Humanities building transformed a maze of outdated classrooms and inadequate faculty offices into a modern building with integrated technology and energy efficient systems. The project was completed on time and under budget. The old interior was completely demolished and replaced with new classrooms, staff/professor offices, and student reading/study areas. Three existing concrete stair towers were removed and replaced with a helical tube steel structure that features a channel glass system. Preparing for the renovation of the Humanities Building required Cypress College/NOCCD to provide space to accommodate the displaced humanities staff, students and furnishings to other buildings and classrooms throughout the Campus.
