The Franklin Elementary School project consists of a whole site modernization of all existing buildings, a new 17,000 SF two-story classroom building, and various site improvements. The new two-story classroom building will be type V, fully-sprinklered, host solar on the roof, and have a hydraulic elevator. The 10 classrooms will have resilient flooring, hard-lid ceilings with tack-able panels on all walls. The art room will have a polished concrete floor, roll-up garage door, and hard-lid ceiling. A new kitchen facility, storage room/staff lounge, and restrooms will also be included in the new building. The remodeled buildings one and two feature new finishes throughout, all new lighting, electrical, security and access control. Remodel in building three will include new finishes, lighting, and millwork in the administrative offices, lobby and primetime area. New flooring will also be installed within the auditorium. The project will also include the modernization of several existing buildings as well as the construction of new hardscape surface and upgrading existing areas to comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), underground utilities, playground structures, and permanent Best Management Practices (BMP) devices to address storm water.
