The addition of two state-of-the-art sustainable office buildings and significantly upgraded site amenities transformed Sony’s Culver City campus, making it more attractive to today’s top entertainment professionals. The program included a four-story 110,000 SF office building, a four-story 106,000 SF office building, an industrial size restaurant with three dining facilities, a 44,500 SF commissary, an employee health club, a 300,000 SF 1,100 car parking structure, site improvements including entry gates and new guard structures, the renovation of existing building facades and “Main Street”, and a central plant upgrade. Located on an active filming lot, it was critical to minimize disruptions to on-going operations and remain on schedule. Therefore, BIM systems and a communication plan facilitating collaboration between the various stakeholders were integral to project delivery. This project is LEED® Gold Certified.
