UCSB – Davidson Library Addition & Renewal

The building was designed to enhance teaching, learning, and research on campus by providing a modern knowledge environment that is both welcoming and inspiring. The expanded and renovated library incorporates a 62,000 SF, three-story building addition and a complete renovation and seismic upgrade of a 110,000 SF, existing two-story building. The project also included a renovation and fire and life safety upgrades in the occupied 100,000 SF, eight-story section of the facility as well as a 120,000 SF, four-story section of the facility. Library operations were required to continue throughout the project.
