The project included the renovation of three separate laboratories in Mayer Hall totaling 4,400 SF and the completion of one lab in the Structural & Materials Building of 780 SF. The Mayer Hall labs are located on both the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors in rooms 1114-1126 and 4545 and allocated for Class 4 laser use. The work included demolition of doors, walls, light fixtures and ductwork. Modifications included new temperature and humidity control and distribution of air and utilities to overhead platforms supported by Unistrut, as well as installation of new doors and frames, floor tile, acoustic ceiling tile, and paint.
